Masterminds vs Group Coaching Programs

Today I'm sharing what might be THE most frequently asked question I get from prospective clients.

"HOW DO I KNOW WHAT KIND OF SUPPORT IS RIGHT FOR ME?"

It's a tough question to answer...because everyone learns differently and you may have a different background or needs than someone else.

To be totally honest with you here, a lot also depends on how fast you're looking to see changes and how much you're willing to invest.

If you're new to hiring someone to support you as you grow your business, here's a breakdown of the most popular types of support out there:

ONE-ON-ONE COACHING:

Typically a bespoke and highly customized program, where you work exclusively with your coach or mentor. Sessions are likely less structured and range from a variety of topics each week depending on who you work with.

Best for: people who ask a lot of questions, like to go deep on a topic, or are looking for lots of support outside of the weekly sessions, too

MASTERMINDS:

This is usually a seminar-style series of workshops intended for a small-ish group of people. Weekly sessions could include guest speakers, hot seat feedback sessions amongst your cohort, or even rapid-fire Q&A.

Best for: established business owners, someone who likes fast, actionable feedback, or someone who doesn't need a lot of guidance or direction

GROUP PROGRAMS:

This one is usually a small group of people who are working on a specific topic and within a certain timeline, while working their way through a set curriculum. Group sizes vary from relatively small to quiet large depending on what you’re looking for.

Best for: learning something new amongst a similar group of people and if you are looking for a specific outcome

ONLINE COURSES:

These are typically videos, audio clips, worksheets, or a combination of different types of material that you can learn from at your own pace on almost any topic you can dream up.

Best for: people with minimal time or who don't need a lot of accountability to accomplish their goals

MEMBERSHIPS:

These are usually created with a specific topic in mind, and will likely feature updated content or unlimited access to courses or feedback. Sometimes, there is also a community element where you will get to interact with other entrepreneurs within the membership space.

Best for: someone who likes to chip away at learning something or is looking for a network or community to lean on for support.
